Celtic Dreams Craft

Due to the instruments page getting so large and as we are now selling plain and decorated drums we decided to have a page devoted purely to drums. All the decorated drums are painted using permanent inks so that the they do not flake when being played nor do they distort the sounds of the drums. The decorations are done in Celtic Folk art style with the occasional Renaissance -Tudor style for good measure. As we decorate them we shall be adding to this page so come back often. These are fully complete Bodhrans not just drum heads.
Note, all Bodhrans come with a carry case and tipper.


First the drums are roughly sketched in pencil as shown in the top two pictures. Click each image for more detail.


The next step is to block in the outline prior to coloring, not a moment for the faint hearted, one mistake and the design is ruined.
